I think you lose too much value by taking the call and enduce line with that flop. There are a handful of draws to protect against, a bunch of worse hands that might call a raise. I think I fold this river, but I definitely would have raised the flop or turn....probably the flop and folded to a 3rd raise.

I totally agree with MLG on the flop, should have raised to define your/his hand.

Does anyone think he has a medium pp trying to chase you a way. I mean you never showed strenght after the flop. On the river you were getting 5.8-1 on your call if the pot size was 4800 before is 1k river bet. I dont think with roughly 16k in chips that I am going to give up 5.8-1.

Raise the flop to 1800/2400.

Given coldcall on flop, raise the turn to 2400/3000.

Given coldcalls on flop and turn, call the river bet. He's still firing with a worse pair of kings or something else more than often enough to call with these odds, and it doesnt really put your stack in jeopardy at all.

If you raised on the flop you don't lose as many chips. Hope you realize that from the multiple posts about it.

Ummm, thanks for that great post. Raising the flop may be the correct play here, but i dunno if i lose more chips? If im raising the flop im making it at least 2000, which means i lost 200 chips less. Also by raising the flop i probably fold out a jack or some middle pair/bluff. As MLG pointed out, there were a few draws to deal with, but i chose to play slower.

And what do i do if im flat called? I don't think this villan is reraising the flop everytime. In that case the turn probably goes check, check. And there is a decent chance more chips get in on the river.

Like i said before, I usually raise in these spots (like 95% of the time,) I just got a feeling here. I actually thought villan had KJ, but with his small bets i really didn't like raising as much since i had a chance at a relatively cheap showdown.

EDIT: I also forgot, I disagree with MLG here about many worse hands calling my raise. I don't think there are many hands im beating that call my raise. maybe AJ. I don't think villan is calling preflop with KT or worse. The only likely draw is AQ so its not like there are that many draws out either.

time to go take an econ test.
