Wasnt a school day for us in the South as the snow/ice/cold was the reason it exploded and most in the SE were out of school because of this weather.

If she remembers where she was when the Challenger exploded you probably don't have to worry about her age. For instance even a 24 year old would have been in Kindergarten then.

Where in the south? I was at school when it happened, and I live in the south.

And I was in school in GA too, no snow day.
