Default flop decision

PokerRoom 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Preflop: eviljeff is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] .
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button calls, SB raises, eviljeff calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, eviljeff ...

I almost feel like I should be raising here, but I honestly can't find a reason to. what do I fold that beats me/outdraws me? a weak king maybe? is this one of those rare situations where it's correct to call the flop in ep?

Blind:

Your pair is almost certainly no good. You're going to have to hit a draw to win this one, and since that's the case, if you raise, you want people to call it. But with the first two actions being a bet and a raise, I don't think you'll get many callers.

I would call this, and if someone raises behind me, 3-bet. Cap if SB 3-bets for me.

I like a call here especially if an aggressive player will raise down the field, then I would 3-bet for value.

Why not? You have a great hand. Raise for value.

I've been mulling this over. Let me run some stove action to confirm my thoughts about whether to call or raise.

Just calling is fine. I don't think your hand is good enough to protect against SB PFR, and you would really like to have players hanging around to pay you off when you hit your flush.

Notice that if the flop were A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], you should be raising. You now have a reasonable shot at having the best hand in a big pot, therefore protecting becomes important.

Ok. I changed my mind. I like raising.

My fear was that our raise might knock everybody else out of the pot, which I thought would be bad since we have a drawing hand HU against a player who probably has us beat at the moment. However, I ran HU stove equity calculations with this board and our hand vs: 88+, ATs+, AJo+, KJs+, KQo and we have 62% equity, so raise for sure.

I have to re-evaluate here -- I think I've been misplaying these situations in multiway pots. Stick in 1 caller in the middle, and I'll raise for sure, but immediately after the raiser -- gotta look into that.

I'd be interested to see the results. I think we have more than 50% equity here. (9 hearts+3 Aces+2 eights + we can be already ahead - outdraws)
