Default Showdown - Results.

MP1 ended up having a higher kicker and won the pot - A8. However, the common advice was to bet the river. Perhaps if I bet he would have laid it down thinking his kicker was no good (which is possibly why he called it down and didn't raise).

Despite my loss I think I played the river wrong. No one showed strength, so I should have assumed I had the best hand.

However, would I be folding to a raise on the river if I bet?

I'd bet the river. I always assume I'm toast in the same situation, but if I bet the flop and turn and nobody raises, and then the river is a blank, I bet again. Amazing how many fish will finally give up to a river bet with an Ace on the board when they don't pair either their Jack or 5.

hmmm, tough one. this flop is so ragged you're not going to get called by much you beat - maybe a high T or gutshot. on the flop I think I prefer c/r a bet from late position.

Couldn't be any more standard than that.

I check and see what happens.

Bet the river.
