Default Finish Stars $10 rebuy in 14th last night... Anybody fold AA here?

14 players left. Blinds about to go up to 20k/40k.

I called without hesitation. I know this is an easy call right? I guess I'm just a little frustrated with losing this way. This must have been the 4th runner runner straight I've lost to in the same day, all in. OK, so I did net about $250 on the night. I just can't figure out how to get to the really big money. The most I've ever won in a tourney is 2 first place finishes for $920 each.

There's no way you fold AA, that's a dream situation. And once you flip over, you have him dominated. You're an 80/20 favorite in that hand, and that's about as good as it gets.

Sorry for the bad luck. Very surprising he would pull that move with 44.

7 handed; with blinds 15k/30k, what would you need to pull that? There wasn't much calling going on. Just push/fold.

I can tell you I did the same thing a few hands before with 44 and took down the blinds. Yes, it's risky, but with these blinds, man!

As for the bad beat story, it's kind of a celebration of look where I got, and a bad beat story. I didn't see many of the regular 2+2 players last night.

I know your not serious, just trying to sneak in a bad beat story.

Question for MBE....I refered to the move here with 44 by mp2 as horrible,IMO a raise of 8xbb with this hand is excessive,he has 4 players left to act and I beleive that at this stage of the game he will get called by most pocket pairs and he can only beat 2,why do you disagree?

This is not meant to be argumentative I would simply like your thoughts as to why you seem to think this play was ok.

Its not a horrible play because he's taking a shot at picking up 60K in chips, and a lot of the time he will uncontested. Also, a lot of the hands that will call him he will be a coinflip. Its not a play that I recommend always making, but if the table had been tight and passive, its a good way to help build a big stack.
