Calculating your pot odds?
Can someone please give a good explanation of calculating your pot odds when deciding whether to call a bet. I'm having a debate with a friend and just want clarification. Thank you.

Re: Calculating your pot odds?
Holdem. 2 players on the turn. There's $100 in the pot. Your opponent bets $20. You have a flush draw. You have to call $20 to win the $120 in the pot. In other words, your pot odds are 120:20 or 6:1. You're getting 6:1 on your call. Do you call? Well the odds against catching your flush on the river are about 4:1. Since the pot is laying you better odds than that, it is correct to call.

Re: Calculating your pot odds?
How much is in the pot (what's in the middle of the table + the most recent bets) divided by how much it is for you to call.
