Default I decided that I really wanted this pot.

Pretty juiced up Party 15 table - all three opponents in this hand have VPIP>35. Because of that, I am comfortable with my preflop cap. Otherwise, I just call the 3-bet - no? After that, I didn't think anybody would fold to a flop check-raise, so I didn't bother. I figured this was my only chance to win this pot:

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Flop: (17.66 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, CO calls, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (10.83 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)

Final Pot: 16.83 BB

If you really wanted this pot, you should either bet the flop or check-raise the flop. This line will get a curiosity call by any hand that you are behind.

Also, it's usually a pretty bad idea to decide ahead of time that you really wanted a pot, especially when you have AQ unimproved with not even a backdoor flush draw.

Unless you believe these VPIP>35 players are capable of making sick laydowns i have no idea what this play is going to get done, do you think they are both on total draws? because with few exceptions (22 or something like that) what is the river bettor going to lay down?
