Classic inlays. I think for my own custom set I am going to use a modifed version of the Chesterfield logo and have them done by ASM. After playing with the rounders chips I am sold on ASM and damn the wait!

I voted classic but I have to qualify it. I would want the classic style if I could get scalloped/geared/octagon/etc inlays. If I'm stuck with round inlays (probably the case with a small order) I want some color and flash.

That's the plan. J5 hit the nail on the head, the Scandia chips are what turned me on to the classic style. I liked those best for a long time. And then the Condodo Beach and Le Cove chips put me over the edge with their elegance. My chips will have a different edge for each denom. There will be one round inlay though, the 25¢ chip.

Are you going to do another group buy for these, TenPercenter? If so, you have my full attention. Your chipco design is great (did I mention great?) but I prefer clay.

Do multiple edgespot designs too! I honestly like the looks of < $1 chips that have no edgespot at all, it makes the edgespot chips seem that much more valuble. The edgespots should get more complex/interesting as the value of the chip rises.

What manufacturer are you considering?

I'm prolly gonna be interested as long as it ain't TR King.

For some reason, I just don't like their chips.

By far, I do love the traditional Paul-Son with the standard inlay and "linen" finish, especially with the scalloped border. The later year Paul-Sons with the slick finish grand inlays pretty much leave me cold. The full graphic Paul-sons, with or without edge spots are a good second place.

You did a great job on the Egyptians! I really like the Chipco Suits as well although I can't remember who had the lead on those. However, I am currently leaning toward a clay chip. Thus far, there haven't been many (any?) clay chip labels that have really blown me away. It's safe to say that I like some elements of both chip styles.

Traditional Likes
- Simple "not too busy" designs

Traditional Dislikes
- Faux casino names
- white round label background
- Clip art used on many custom chips
- Not very colorful (often)

If I had my wish list, I would like to see...
- simple design with some color and without reference to a faux casino, poker parlor, etc.
- different label shapes (as mentioned previously)
- Label background colors matched with edge spot colors as long as the colored backgrounds work well with the overal layout. (maybe something like Jason has done with Nexgen labels)

BTW, I might be interested in a potential group by for something like this although I'm not sure about having the chips posted on the Internet for general sale.

I took the bottom picture of those scandias.

All of my $1s were identical, with the exception that a few are slightly bluer. I have seen $1 chips with the same size edge spots, but with 2 white spots and 2 light yellow (I'm not 100% this is correct, but they were different colors).

Note, of course, that the red chips only have 3 edge spots in the left photo. Out of 600 or so $5 chips I've owned, only 9 were like this. One out of the lots was a darker red.

All of my $25s are identical.

My 350 $100 chips about half gear-inlay, half round-inlay.

My 200 $500 chips are a 60/40 split between the hexagon and circle design. The hexagonal inlaid chips have visible brass weighting in them.

My $1000 chips are from the gambler's pleasure set.
