Like everyone else, I can recommend the MGM. However I didn't like that you can't be on the list for one game while playing another. So if 2-5NL is full, don't think of playing 4-8 while you wait. Or if you want a 10-20 game but there isn't enough action yet, again you can't play something else while you wait. However the competition is weak, the racetrack isn't as bad as everyone says, and the waitresses are decently quick and sometimes nice looking. I've seen worse dealers, but I've definitely seen better ones too.

The Wynn 4/8 is appealing to me because it is the lowest game that they spread and it's been suggested around here that it is filled with inexperienced players. Is this flawed thinking?

I've only played about 25 hours or so at the Wynn, but I think this argument holds a lot of weight. I found the 4/8 games there to be exemplary, though the 9-handed play makes opponents' looser play slightly more correct. Not correct enough to worry about though; this game is again easily beatable. The waitresses are faster and better looking here, and the bar is better. The dealers are also better, and I'd recommend the Wynn if you specifically want to play 4/8.

Everybody seems to like the MGM, but I can't [censored] stand any place with that [censored] [censored] around the edge of the table to stack your chips on instead of felt. It seriously pisses me off.

The thing about the MGM, is they have free fat tire. That's right.

Free. Fat. Tire.

no really, it's true.

Fat Tire Amber Ale

[ QUOTE ]
Like the ageless delight of pedaling a bicycle, Fat Tire Amber Ale’s appeal is in its feat of balance: Toasty malt flavors (sorta like biscuits just pulled from the oven) coasting in equilibrium with crisp hoppiness. Delicious stability - in the world of sometimes-precarious beer flavors – is perhaps what prompted one consumer who wrote us to say, “this beer just makes you smile.”

Fat Tire’s depth of flavor, achieved with neither a disproportionate sway toward hops or malts, tandems well with a full spectrum of today’s engaging cuisines. Salmon, dry-aged cheeses, roasted chilies, omelets at midnight, sweet potato French fries and just about anything with grill marks or garlic are just a few of the edibles we like to partner up with our Amber Ale.

[/ QUOTE ]

Haven't tried it yet, but their copy writers have me drooling - and I'm usually a whiskey guy.

Serious? Dang I wish I had known this when I was there. I am a fan, and I don't even like most Ambers in general.

PLUS free Guiness and Newcastle! Definitely the best beer selection of any cardroom I know of. Also a ridiculous number of fishy players, the place is awesome for anything up to 4-8 kill or 2-5NL.

Also, the dealers there are clearly awesome (seeing as I am one). lol...

The Bellagio 4/8 is full of retards. I'd play there & the MGM, which also has a donkish 4/8. I only played 8/16 at the Wynn, but it's such a nice room that you should play there. Best chairs/chips in town.

I'm surprised no one in this thread has mentioned the Mirage for 3/6. It's been very very good to me...
