AT and AJ preflop 2/4
Assume a normal mix of 2/4 players at the table.
For both hands: In which position do you open raise? How many unknown limpers do you raise on the button? When do you raise in SB? |

Re: AT and AJ preflop 2/4
I'm assuming you mean offsuit here.
I open-raise AJ from any position. AT I'm folding until the hijack, where I'll open-raise. With AJ, I'll raise up to about 4 limpers, then I'll just limp along. With AT, the max I raise is 1 limper. I'll never raise those hands from the SB unless it's heads-up or maybe 3-handed. Now if you mean suited, then I'm raising all of those all the time. |

Re: AT and AJ preflop 2/4
This is my default, reads might change this.
AJo I open UTG, ATo in MP1. Something like 4 limpers for AJo on the button, 2 limpers for ATo. I'll raise in the SB if a couple of loosies have limped, but if they're not that loose or more than a few have limped I'll just complete. If any tighties limp I usually just do that myself unless noone else has and the limper is weak tight. |

You raise AJo UTG? I thought that was only correct for loose games (6-8 players to flop).
