Bad poker here. I raise UTG+1 and met with a huge raise. IT was wrong for me to call with AQo.

Check and fold. Min bet is stupid given the size of the pot and check raise for an overcard would be much better off without the straight draw on board.

Default Conclusion: KJos et. al.

Well, clearly bad play made things worse than they had to be, but it's also clear that these hands are a little more difficult to play early on. Not difficult in an absolute sense, but more difficult than all other hands early on. They require the most thinking IMO.

Changes in my play: These aren't the sort of hands to screw around with early on. Play 'em real tight.

OK, well, that's my hall of shame. It's quite shameful. The original idea was to investigate various starting hands for early round play. The conclusion is unsuited middle and high hands (KJo, JTo) can be tricky to play. I see no evidence that confirms what you hear sometimes on the boards: "don't play Kxo or low suited connectors". Feel free to post evidence to the contrary. It's OK to play these hands if you play them correctly, from the proper (late) position. In fact, that's what these hands are made for. Multiway pots that are cheap to enter.
