Just curious about some stats

Looking at some of my stats from playing at pokerroom and wondering how they compare to some others.

Saw 4th St: 37%
Went to river after seeing 4th St: 28%
Folded to a river bet: 43%
Showdowns won: 59%

I don't track this sort of stuff myself. Unless you're playing shorthanded, 37% is too high for a fourth-street percentage. You should probably be paying off more river bets with two pair and the like, too.

Mine are
4th street seen: 28%
Won if saw 4th street: 37%
Showdowns won: 50%

I still think I see 4th street too often, and that this is costing me money. I think 25% is possibly about right, but I think some others on the forum think that closer to 20% is better.

At a full table I feel that 28% is too high, but whatever works for you works for YOU. I play with a bunch of donkeys at 2/4 and they can't be manipulated well since they are generally calling stations and bluff machines. That forces me to play a lot tighter than you might be able to get away with.

After a lifetime of playing 3-4 per year home games, I started playing on-line about 2 1/2 years ago and I play 95% stud.

Originally, and at .25/.50 tables on PokerStars, I was seeing 4th street between 55-75% of the time per session! Incredibly, and probably due to luck, I was holding my own. This made it sort of difficult to learn but then I read 7 Card Stuf by Roy West.

My game is more at the 25-30% 4th st call rate now and I regularly play 1/2, 2/4 and 3/6 tables. Positive EV has, er, yet to materialize at 5-10 tables and beyond!

BTW, I've also read Theory of Poker but I still have not put my hands on 7CS4AP.

Those stats don't look good unless your playing in a super loose game where you are getting odds to draw all the time, then miss on the river and need to fold. The fold to river bet is exceptionally high unless this is the type of game you always play, if that's the case it's still too high, but understandable. If you tighten up preflop you are going to stop having to always draw out and make 2nd best hands.
