How often do you do something dumb e.g misreading board, action, hand
I just held K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Flop was A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] y [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] z [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], turn q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I capped both big streets "knowing" that I had the stone nuts. This is the second time I have mistaken the 2nd nut flush for the nut flush when the flop has been twotone with an offsuit Ace. Sometimes I will find myself in the middle of the hand with no idea of the previous action, so I'll make a "continuation bet" with air when I didn't even have the lead. How often will you guys do something like this? |

I'll be playing a low buy-in tournament, and stupidly think I can bluff someone off the pot. Flop 5Q7r, checks to me I raise, guy calls down two more raises with 59o.

The first time I thought I had a flush and didn't. Since then I use four color deck. It's just easier when multi tabling.

About once a month I do something completely idiotic through lack of focus or just brain failure.
Last one was folding the nuts on the river (misclick while multitabling) for a medium-sized pot (300 chips) early in an SNG. I went out 4th in the SNG, so I probably could have used that extra pot... |

Re: How often do you do something dumb e.g misreading board, action, hand
After playing more poker than I care to admit since they started televising Moneymaker winning the WSOP in 2003, I tend to make alot less dumb mistakes. I honestly can't remember where I did something really stupid other than a misclick. At this point it's subtle things that I shake my head for at myself later. Like refusing to lay down Ace-Ten to a re-raise in front of me.

What I do sometimes when multi-tabling a large amount of tables is connect flops to hands at other tables -
For example, I have KQ at one table and 77 at another. The flops comes Qxx, I'll mistakenly bet with the 77, as I briefly think I have KQ. Hasn't happened too often, as I usually catch myself, but when I'm in a half dozen hands at once I just need to focus. |

the other day it took me nearly a minute to realize i had the nuts playing a live omaha game. it was a total brain lock, but the guy called a big raise b/c he was pretty sure his second nuts was good.
