That's why you should always play for the pot and never the bonus. The bonus is what it is a bonus nothing more. In this case it cost you about 25 bucks. Live and learn

I feel this is poor advice from you joshman.

I think that when you are playing and there is a possible bonus you should add that amount to the pot and it is likely giving you pot odds. In the case of the 72o promo that truepoker ran where a win would add 5X the big bet if you are looking at 72o you should imagine there are 5 more big bets in there. In a case where the promo demands a showdown, it isnt wrong to check it down the whole way.

That said before you play you should make yourself aware of these rules so this doesnt happen.

But didnt she look at the current high hand before proceeding? Surely ultimate bet gives enough time to take a quick look. Unless both players got the high hand at exactly the same time which is doubtful. This ultimately cost her some money. But I do see your point.

P.S The funniest promo true poker ever had or maybe still does is the one where if you get quads in your pocket cards in omaha you win like 100 bucks. The odds of being dealt four of a kind in your pocket cards is like 1 in 96000. Players still played day and night to win that promo I think maybe one or two players actaully ever won it.

Try 1 in 20,825. That's ok though, you were only 360% too high.

i know you don't have to get to the river. under the old software, i believe you had to actually show your cards to collect. now, with the 'never show winning cards' feature, they've probably eliminated that. then again, it's UB, and to be sure i would probably uncheck that option during the hand.

note to all who face me on UB: if i have a five-second delay with three to a royal on board, this is probably why.
