Default Live NL 100: Am I wrong for calling here?

Villian is a fairly solid player who tends to get attached to hands. I recently sat down so I haven't seen him play TODAY but in the past I have seen him overplay hands and tend to limp sub-par hands (suited crap like J7 etc). His raises pre-flop are usually solid though (strong ace, high PP, etc.)

Relevant stack sizes
UTG ~ 40$
Hero ~ 80$
Villian ~ 100$

Hero is BB.

8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

UTG limps. Folds around to villian who raises to 5$. Folds around to hero in BB. Hero calls. UTG calls.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero checks. UTG checks. Villian checks.

OK, he would have bet AQ, overpair, MAYBE he would check QQ as slowplay since board is rainbow and drawless. UTG is known fish who's on tilt and in the pot for 150$ could have any two right now.

Turn: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Pot ~ 16

Hero bets 10$. UTG folds. Villian thinks a second and calls.

Riv : 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero checks. UTG grabs stack of chips and bets 20$.

Hero calls.

My thinking is he had an AK, AJ since he played so passively.

How often am I beat and what is it that he is beating me with? PERHAPS he slowplayed QQ but the chances are slim (only 2 ways to make QQ).

I dunno, block the river for $10? Maybe saves you $10...

Oh, what is a block bet anyway? I have heard the term many a times on this board. I understand if you say: bet 10$ on riv, but the word block I am unaware of.

Does it mean bet 10$ and fold to any re-raise? I guess that makes sense. In retrospect though, my riv check induces bluff from AK.

yea, its a bet used so that your are seeing a showdown for YOUR price, rather than letting villain choose a higher price. If he raises, you fold
