the local congressman in la crosse is named Ron Kind... How perfect is that last name for someone in politics?

I recommend using a first name for his new last name. Something like... Nathan. He could be Matthew Nathan. Or, Nathan, Matthew for all you form filers. Maybe John. Or Thomas. I like Matthew Thomas.

You could go way out there and pick a female first name, just to be distinctive. Matthew... Julia. Yes - Matthew Julia. You could call him Big Matt J. Or MJ, even.

'howard' was the first one that came to mind. 'matthew howard', 'matt howard', etc all sound ok to me.
