Default Florida Limit Change

Can anyone confirm a rumor I heard that Florida recently passed a law to allow cardrooms to spread higher limits than $1/2?

According to that article, the stakes for cardrooms were raised to (it seems) $2 max bet ber betting round, with three raises. Sounds a lot like $1/2! That was exactly what I was looking for, unless there's another bill more recent than that one. Thanks for the link!

At Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa they have $2/$2, and 1 table SNG's for $100 and $200. But they always have huge lines. They have some nice tournaments at the dog track in St. Pete. NL $45 entry fee. I played in one for the first time yesterday, maxed out with 180 players. I didn't get one good hand and busted out on a bluff about a hour into the tourney. First place is about $1500 I think with a full field. They have a tourney every day now. You only get 700 in chips to start though, which I don't really like.

If they ever allowed multiple card clubs with at least middle limit games in Florida (with millions of retirees with billions of dollars and lots of free time) it would make the early days of holdem's introduction into California look like a lite midnight snack before the Thanksgiving feast. Every decent poker player with an RV would be there

Of course, if the desending sharks behave like most "pros", the games will nit up quickly.

Yeah, you'd think Rick. They arleady would have that if it weren't for douche bags like Jeb Bush who always vote against gambling expansion. You have to go out on a casino boat for a few hours to get any decent action like that.
