cool. fwiw, i think that folding there in a 55 or even most 109s is terrible.

Yeah. I think I'd usually call. This 1-tabling has me thinking a lot though. Not sure whether that's a good thing or not.

I'd assume that you play with a lot of the same players a great deal of the time at the 215's, so I think a solid day of really focusing on their play and making specific notes could be very beneficial. I'm interested in how this turns out for you.

Folding KK preflop is pretty exiting. I'll give you the benefit of doubt in a $215. Did you know either of the villians?

if it's all about notes, why not call and see what he has? then again, the only other hand i'd put him on is KK.

without a read I don't see how I could fold this, but I've heard that the $200s are a lot tougher than the $100s.

One game 1-tabling, one 1st place. Man this is easy.

One hand that prolly isn't too exciting...

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (10 handed) converter

SB (t910)
BB (t1010)
UTG (t1025)
UTG+1 (t1000)
Hero (t1025)
MP1 (t975)
MP2 (t925)
MP3 (t940)
CO (t1170)
Button (t1020)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t30, Hero raises to t125, 1 fold, MP2 calls t125, 5 folds, UTG+1 Pushes (t1000) , Hero thinks and folds.

Hope it wasn't one of you guys on a bluff.

I'll post interesting hands in their own threads.

You folded KK!?@#$?!@#?$ Who was the Villain? I'd call here every single time and totally expect AK or TT-QQ with maybe some 77-99 thrown in. If it's that 4-5% of whatever of the time they have AA then obviously I'll just river a K. The thing that changes the hand dramatically is MP2 just calling which creates a big pot where AK would love to push to take it down PF.

I didn't have reads on either.. I wasn't worried about the cold caller though.

I probably overthought it, but honestly... I almost never see any other hand limp reraise besides AA or KK.

Whatever man... Didn't you see the part where I got 1st? That means that all the decisions I made were obviously right.

I don't know either. Don't give me the benefit of the doubt. Tell me when I do something dumb. That's what today is for.

Thing is, I have seen the 'pretty much never fold' hands go from JJ to QQ to KK going from $11 through $55. I can't really say if KK becomes foldable here in the $215s.

There is a hand that El Diablo discusses & Ray Zee responds in which EL D is almost certain that his villian has AA in a NL 25/50 game, but they were both all-in preflop. The assesment of folding KK and implications are worth finding.
