Re: Your showering/getting ready routine
I believe in taking care of myself, in a balanced diet, in a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now.
After I remove the icepack, I use a deep pore-cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey-almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb mint facial masque which I leave on for ten minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after-shave lotion with little or no alcohol because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing "protective" lotion... |

Re: Your showering/getting ready routine
Twas thinking about this type of thing while in the OCD thread of last week. I was more specifically thinking that I shower exactly the same way every time.
1. Turn on shower to preheat 2. Get in shower (piss on floor) 3. Wash hair, rinse, and apply conditioner 4. Put soap on washcloth 5. Wash left arm and pit 6. Wash chest 7. Wash right arm and pit 8. Wash stomach 9. Wash nads and unit 10. Wash left leg and foot 11. Wash right leg and foot 12. wash back of neck 13. wash back 14. wash ass 15. Rinse washcloth and wringout, hang.. 16. Change wash clothes and wash my face 17. Rinse out conditioner 18. Dryoff in shower before exiting Order is always the same... anyone else? |

[ QUOTE ]
How long does this take you? Ho long before you have to leave do you set you alarm? Do you eat breakfast first? If so, what sort of breakfast would you eat? [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't take me long to get ready. 20-30 minutes maybe? I don't know really. I'd generally set my alarm about 40 minutes before I had to be out the door if I had to be out the door at a specific time. (I like to sit down for a few minutes in the morning and watch TV or read or whatever.) I usually inhale a bowl of cereal for breakfast. |

Re: Your showering/getting ready routine
Take a p!$$
I also time my dumps for just before I have a shower, but I usually have 2-3 showers a day (usually 2-4 in summer). For the dumps, I use wipe pretty extensively and then take a clump of toilet paper, put it under the tap a bit and have a wet wipe (important). Shower I brush my teeth and then use mouthwash. Then I wash my face and body with soap. Then I shampoo and condition my whole body, esp the hairy bits. About half the time I also use a shower gel. Then I use this face gel which also softens the skin before shaving. I also shave in the shower, since the hot water softens the skin (less irritation). After this I'll use the washer I used for my body, wipe my genitals and then wipe my ass (I change washers every shower). Deodorant I use nivea for men rollon (doesn't stink like sprays do). It's also the stuff I've found lasts the longest. I also use their face gel before shaving, their shaving gel and sometimes their after shave balm. My head always has a #2 or #3 all over so I don't need any sort of hair products. I think all of this gives you a weak but nice smell. I also make sure my pubes are trimmed and that there's no hair on my ass (keeps it cleaner and butt hair ain't attractive). Also pop in an extra and airwave a few times a day (both gum and keep breath good). |

Re: Your showering/getting ready routine
1. Get up around 7:00. Place razor in SFer's hand while he sleeps and convince him that it's time to get going.
2. Get in shower. 3. Wash hair. Right now it's coconut shampoo. 4. Wash face. 5. Exfoliate/cleanse rest of body. 6. Wait for whatever song is playing on the CD player to finish. 7. Get out of shower. Total time spent in shower is less than 12 minutes and more like 8. 8. Half-dry hair. 9. Convince SFer that it's time to shower. 10. Get back in bed and nap for 20-40 minutes. 11. Wake up again. This takes at least five minutes and is much more difficult than the first time. 12. Put in contacts. 13. Deoderize and moisturize. 14. Get dressed. Iron the clothing (first) if necessary. 15. Brush teeth. 16. Check email. 17. Put on shoes. 18. Walk out door around 8:40. *edit*: Sometime between #1 and #3 I urinate. |
