Re: Hitting top set on three flush flop
Call the push. Your bet is fine. I also think the PF raise is fine, though I limp here often as well.

Re: Hitting top set on three flush flop
half the time i limp and half the time i raise with 88, i only did it b/c there was only one caller before me and i would have position after flop and wanted the blinds out of the hand. With more callers i would certainly merely limp.
Results: I called the all in he flipped over AxAc and rivered a flush grrr. |

If you get all your money in as a favorite, and he sucks out, you probably played it well. If he sucks out on you and then you get all your money in, you probably didn't play it so well. Your villain here played his aces attrociously. |

Re: Hitting top set on three flush flop
Yeah, had to be a 4-flush or made flush w/low cards. Given a read on villain as a tightie, you could narrow it down to 4-flush.

Re: Hitting top set on three flush flop
Unless he had 89 or something and was scared of a higher flush. Although given the pot odds, seems like you'd still have to call there with say only Ac. But a lot of people don't think like that. And a lot of people would still fold for their tourney life, with a flush draw and 1-2 overs, even though the pot-odds say call.
