gamingclub.com has a bunch of 10-30 dollar tournaments that get 100-300 entrants. Empire has a bunch of tournaments that also get a few hundred people but I hate there MTT interface. Just go to a bunch of sites and take a look around. I am guessing/trying to remember but I think paradise, interpoker and the rest also have small tournaments with a couple hundred people fields.

hey david,

i haven't played many mtt's on other sites, but find empire's just fine. recently i've gone to stars and am not a fan of their general look feel, but that's really insignificant. what are the differences at other sites compared to empire that make them better to you.

thanks!

hey... i'm pretty new to playing on line still... pokerstars is the only website i've played at and mostly have played small cash games or sngs. however i have done well in the past in live mtts and would like to start playing some of them online. the thing that turns me off is the hugeee turn out in all the pokerstar mtts. they are often 1500+ and take 6+ hours. are there any sites with 50-150 player mtts and if so where can i find these?

[/ QUOTE ]

I play on Stars as well. They also have what you are looking for, starting at $50+5 level. I played one yestrday that had 198 entries. Not too bad.

You start with 1500 and these are the blind levels you'll see in the first hour:
10/20, 15/30, 25/50, 50/100, 100/200.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do blinds go up every 12 minutes? I thought the structure was the same as Stars for the first hour, though I've only played a couple there. That's just plain silly.

I strongly recommend Full Tilt Poker. IMO it's the best poker site out there, its only drawback being lack of players. Since what you're looking for is lack of players, then FTP is definetly the place for you. The MTT structures are awesome, and usually have 100-300 players. The software is speedy and satisfying. At the very least, you have to check it out

Full Tilt Poker has daily $100 tourny at decent times, there are generally 40-80 people in the tourny. There is usually a pro playing with a bounty on there head as well.

I meant to add that the blind structure is pretty solid as well at FullTilt. Off the top of my head I believe it goes up something like this 10-20/15-30/20-40/30-60/40-80/50-100. Etc

Wow, that is sweet. I was going to try a couple freerolls there, but they fill up in about 0.2 nanoseconds.

Their tourney structure sucks big time, it's way too fast (at least for me). You start with 1500 and these are the blind levels you'll see in the first hour:
10/20, 15/30, 25/50, 50/100, 100/200.

you missed 75/150 which is split around the break at about the first hour. So yes, if you were to fold every hand you would have about 900 chips after the first hour. That is a hell of a cold streak though because it is about 60 hands.

It's better than Party and a little worse than Stars, from everything I've seen about Full Tilt it has the best structure by leaps and bounds, just no players.
