You put UYI I/II that low?

Not as good as Appetite. If you took the best material from 1 and 2 and put it on one CD it's one of the three or four best rock albums EVAR.

From your list I would say that you are missing the last two Outkast albums.

No rap/hip-hop per CMI's nitty rules. Although I think a strong argument could be made for The Love Below. Not for Stankonia or Speakerboxxx though.

Trust me, I'd have a LOT more albums under consideration, and OutKast would be up there.

Putting this on a list before Lifted or I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning... pure blasphemy. You must be high.

I mean, it's a good album, but it's easily fourth as far as the big BE albums go.

Lyrically I think it is their best album. I mean, come on, it is the "redemption" album. Plus, good timing in my life. Plus, I am so burnt on I'm Wide Awake. I had heard all the songs for a while before the album came out.

Lets start it off by saying Nirvana is the most overrated band since the Beatles. Don't get me wrong, both are decent bands, but there are just so many better bands that don't get nearly as much credit.

My top Ten (none, i feel, are particularly better or worse, and they are all just in order as they come out.):

Tool - Aenima
Tool - Lateralus
Smashing Pumpkins - Melancholy and Infinite Sadness
Alice in Chains - Dirt
Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
Korn - Life is Peachy
Rage Against the Machine - RATM
Audioslave - Audioslave
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Godsmack - Godsmack

I think putting two albums by the same band is a gross mistake.

I picked Whiskeytown for a screen name after Pneunomia -

Uncle Tupelo's March 16th-20th is pretty goddamn good too.

#3: Is This It by The Strokes
#4: Kid A by Radiohead
#5: Gimme Fiction* by Spoon
#6: Weezer by Weezer
#7: Chutes Too Narrow by The Shins
#8: Dookie by Green Day
#9: Rage Against the Machine by Rage Against the Machine
#10: White Blood Cells by The White Stripes

Five Honorable Mentions: Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips, Slanted & Enchanted by Pavement, Odelay! by Beck, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis, and The Moon & Antarctica by Modest Mouse.

There's like twenty albums that could fit into the HM category, especially since I avoided doubling up on artists, and since I didn't put in any rap / hip-hop.

*Yes, Gimme Fiction is brand new. I think it's that fu[/i]cking good. If it weren't Gimme Fiction, it'd be Kill the Moonlight.
