play poker against players who potentially don't know how to play poker.

And the bad thing about that is.............???

And, there is less dead money.

In a 9 player Stars SnG, there are usually 5-6 players who are totally clueless. In a 6 player Stars SnG, there are usually 3-4 players who are totally clueless. A regular $10+1 and a $12+1/6 max pay about the same to the winner. So I figure about the same value in both.

The two main things that strike me about 6 max at Stars (the only place I have played them):

1. They take about the same time as a 9 player SnG, which seems like entirely too much time; and

2. 6 max players for some reason are much worse at HU play.
