Default QUESTION FOR OLYMPICS POKER COACH HYPOTHETICAL

You are poker coach of USA olypic team. MTT you have a player that is chip leader at t30,000, blinds are t750/1500.

UTG has t26,000 TA has shown the nuts on every showdown. Has raised or limped with top 5 starting hands only.

UTG limps, MP raises to t6000, your player is in CO and calls. UTG re raises to t26,000(all in), MP folds, your player calls t26,000 with 86s and UTG shows AKs and your player wins with set of 6s.

As the coach what is your next move?

point at the TAG from the other team, yell "In your face Poindexter!!!!!" Smack my player on the butt (being careful not to cup) and use that metal sliding thing that boxing trainers use to get the swelling down in the USA player's face (you see he is allergic to peanuts, and they served some thai food at lunch...his head looks like a F#&$&ign pumkin, quite funny). Then I go back to praying, b/c I made a crossbook bet with the Argentinian coach, and know that we are never leaving here alive if I lose.

But he doubled up and the media is already saying he should get the MVP and Ford truck if the USA wins.

Trust me, after the story breaks about the fact that I bet 10 million dollars on the tournament, b/c I screwed the wrong people in a black market kidney deal, I really doubt they are going to care that our MVP is really a pumkin headed donk

I'd ask him to WRITE answers to the following questions:

What was his range of hands of opening hands for UTG and why?
What was his range of calling hands for MP and why?
Who was the softest and hardest spot on the table and why?
Was your hand speculative? What were your chances of having the best hand after 5 cards given 1 or two callers?
Were you likely to get to the flop without a rereaise?
Would you be pot committed if there was a reraise?

How much of a commitment are you making to the hand when you enter the pot?
How is this hand likely to affect your tournament standing?

How did this hand affect your image for the rest of the tournament, give 3 examples.

Do you think this hand represents your best play as we have developed it, and the best play for our country that you represent?
