Move up.

.25-.50 at PP is pretty weak. As long as you have the bankroll (300BB) and belive your playing winning poker with at least some results to back you up, there is no reason not to move up.

Moving up to .5-1 is petty much the same. Make sure you have the bankroll and confidence, then just do it.

Moving up past .5-1 takes a little more than that. I would make sure you have a lot of table time under your belt before moving up past that.

It's all pretty soft up to .5-1, but 1-2 and up at most sites you will start to see a lot more aggression. Even if it's misplaced, it's harder (but highly profitable) to play against aggressive opponents.

For bonus clearinging, .5-1 hits the minimum rake at least 2/3 of the time. Smart play will make good profits and bonuses will come faster. Just make sure the roll can handle it.

on a semi-related note, a couple times when I've been playing 1/2 6max I've seen usernames that look very similar to people that post here, but the player is a super-donk and terrible .. it makes me wonder sometimes

Don't point me out like that. And the "S" on my chest is for "Super"

If that was you last night bottomset222 and you are referring to me - it was only my second time playing 6-max and I'm still trying to figure out how aggressive/passive I should be - any specific hands?

I agree with all of that. Nobody has any clue what they're doing until you get to 1/2. You probably don't even need the full 300 BB since they're so bad & passive. $100 should be fine.

I've been playing .10/.20 for a while now and have been consitantly winning. I'm contemplating the move up to .25/.50 and am wondering what advice people would have to offer. I've watched these tables for two weeks now a couple nights a week for 15-30 minutes. My impression is that the .25/.50 is a bit tighter and way more passive. I have seen very little pfr'ing and people fold quickly on later streets to any aggression.

I played .25/.50 for the 50% bonus after leaving Pacific. The games are definitely beatable if you just play solid poker. If this is your first move up, make sure you have the 300BB (although it's ok to take a shot before that if you are willing to move back down). Also don't play more passively because you don't want to risk more money - I know this was where I went wrong moving from .05/.10 to .10/.20, it can be a hard adjustment but you'll get used to it!

As soon as I replied, I realized that the adidas name I recognized was from 0.25/0.50!

You should be fine. The tables are super soft. I was doing pretty well on Stars, with about 30 VPIP consistently. On Paradise, you get some nice 40-50 VPIP as well. Trust me, it's soft.

See you at the tables!
