Default 11.5 g poker chips

I'm looking to upgrade my poker chips to about 600 or so 11.5 g clay chips. Anybody got a contact for me?

I got the 11.5 "dice" stripped chips from www.5stardeal.com.
Very efficient and timely. I've also orderd some of the same chips from www.casinosupply.com. Both sites are very good.

Just one point of interest on the chips that I got and others I've read about: Some of these chips (all of mine) are slightly larger in diameter than standard casino chips, so they don't fit all the way down in a standard plastic chip rack. Barely noticable as I still use the racks. Also... for some reason, the black chips seem to be ever so slightly thicker. The makes it so I cant get 20 in a row in the rack so I have to alternate 10 black and 10 green per row to make them fit. A bit annoying, but not that big of a deal....

hth,
-Chad

I just got a set of custom clay chips from PokerChips.com.
You should check out their website; they have samples of custom clay chips they do and I think they sell the 11.5gram ones too. I bought 400 clay chips with edge spots, they are about 9 or 10 grams and are nice chips, with a nice case it ran about $280 with shipping.
The only thing is be prepared to wait, they say 6 weeks, for mine it was 2 months.

I just placed an order with pokerchips.com for custom clay chips with edge spots. I got samples from both pokerchips.com and chipco.com. If you email them they will mail you out samples and you'll have them within a week.

From what I have read those dice/suit/diamond chips you see for sale all over are not clay, but do feel nice and are heavy. (Do a search in the home forum for "clay chips" and you can read about others opinions of the dice/suit/diamond chips and others.)

i hear a lot about people wanting 11.5 gram chips.. but i have played with some that other people have, and they suck. they seem metallic almost, i dunno.. also for instance, the chips at foxwoods, i doubt they are 11.5 grams, but they are excellent and i'd love to have my own set of foxwoods style chips. my point is i don't think it's all about the weight.

I got my poker chips from
here
These are the real deal! Clay!!! non of this plastic composite cr*p with a metal insert. They run about 0.45/chip but worth it in the long run!

I agree. Neither of the samples I got, which are both the real deal casino-quality chips, are that heavy. They are both in the 9-10 gram range. I think they intentionally make those plastic composite with metal insert chips heavier than the real clay chips because many people will incorrectly assume that heavier is better.

I sampled at least 20-25 chips. I saw their add in CardPlayer mag and called them up. They sent out a sample and I loved it. It took me about a year to find the right chip. No complaints with them. Funny thing, I ordered them about 6 months ago and called them up and Les. the owner remembered me. funny

Friend of mine just got the set of 500 11.5g chips from ebay. He loves them, I don't. They are actually heavier than a real casino chip and are too smooth. I find that real clay chips have a little "grip" to them (could just be the filth at the Taj).

They are not, they are 10g. However, the chips that are made at fox are availble, they are just over a $1.00 a piece. Whereas the 11.5 clay-filled are .30/each.

Peace,
JT
