Default Chopping FPP satellites?

I'm currently in final table of the 'stars 500 FPP satellite to the $530 sunday tournament. There's a lot of talk about a chop. Is this even possible? Also, I'm 2nd in chips and people are talking about an even chop instead of by chip count. I'm feeling really risk-averse, so I'm thinking about taking it because I'll just use the $T anyway.

Oh, and stop by and say hi if you want to watch me bust 5th when 4 seats pay out.

Of course u can chop

Make a deal between each other

and the person who wants the tournment transfer of cash to the other player.
The Honor system

Of course let the person win who wants the tournment

Support came, but one person said "chip count chop or play it out." I also supported this idea of having a chip count chop. Whatever, time for me to bust out 5th or worse.

Two more people busted, so we're just going to chop the prize pool of T$2120 evenly for T$353.33. Not bad for my 500 FPP, anyway. The question is, was it a good deal?

Here are the chip counts:
57k (me), 71k, 38k, 24k, 52k, 31k. Blinds are 2k/4k/200. I'm feeling really, really risk-averse as I've had a hellacious run of sngs recently, and with only 57k there's a huge possibility I could have busted out 5th or 6th.

Anyway, after the deal was done, I busted out 6th by jamming every hand; hell, I got a shower to take and a dinner to eat.

When you're willing to take a huge drop in EV to avoid some risk, you probably should take a few days off poker.

With 3 stacks under 10 BBs you could most likely fold into a seat. To not get some sort of extra value is crazy. When it comes to a deal I am rarely willing to deal unless I feel I am getting the better of it, here there is almost no deal you could get the best of so why bother?

Thanks for the tongue-lashing, guys. I really need it for being such a weak candyass in that situation. I guess I was just desperate for those few hundred T$, and I was in a hurry to leave (missing dinner with a certain person was -RelationshipEV ).

Either way, any money for my 500 FPP seems good to me.
