Indeed. A judge who believes that criminals ought to be subjected to the same pain that their victims are isn't prone to violating, say, the 8th Amendment or anything like that.

And yes... Wrong forum n00b!!!1

me thinks there is much ore to this story then was reported. And vigilante judges aren't my cup of tea on principle. I do like them based upon actions though, so i guess I'm hypocritical.

I didn't consider it a political question up for political debate. I am well versed in the uses of the Political forum and didn't want it turned into a political question.

People come on OOT all the time saying they broke the law and here's the penalty they paid or how their friend got busted for something....

this is merely a 3rd party doing the reporting instead of firsthand and I thought it was unique and somewhat funny.

noob.

Good story, and the woman got off easy. What made things so much worse was that she was an animal rescuer, not just someone abandoning her own cats. She encouraged people, from what I gather, to trust her with the lives of animals, and instead she not only tries to get them killed, but have them die in a cruel way, from exposure and/or starvation. This lady really sucks.

And I'm tired of seeing anything that has even the remotest conceivable aspect to it that could be possibly characterized as political -- and in this case it was pretty effing remote indeed -- being described as political and belonging in the politics forum. This is really getting moronic and out of hand.

agreed - I want the everyman's opinion - not political ones -

I tried to start a bet last night in the politics fourm that, if it had been up for disagreement, would have been settled in the OOT fourm. I didn't want the question (about a potential court decision) to be decided based on politics but on whether the terms of the bet were satisified or not - hence OOT -

people in the politics fourm would have simply voted with whoever they agreed with, not on the conditions of the bet or who should win -

Hell - a big chunk of OOT could be crossposted to the rest of the Other Topics threads - and probably the NVG group as well - can't lose too much sleep over it.

as for myself, I prefer to weed out the kitten population the old fashioned way, myself.

We were saying that it was the wrong forum because you accidentally posted it to the Sporting Events forum.
