AA on a scary board, vs 2+2er.
Villain in this hand is a 2+2er, and seems a bit tricky. My table image is fairly loose, since I've been getting pretty good starting hands. I also have reason to believe villain doesn't think much of my play. For what it's worth, this is a full ring game that is down to 5 for a few hands, due to people sitting out.
How did I do? My main concern is the river. Who bets for value, and who checks behind? Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (5 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls. Unless you specifically know that he will bet a 4-flush on the turn in an attempt to pick up the pot, then make the river value bet. The straight doesn't seem likely but does make things a bit more scary. |

Re: AA on a scary board, vs 2+2er.
The river is a really easy bet. BB plays back at you with all sorts of pairs and draws on the flop, and your hand is far stronger than expected. Tons of worse hands will pay off.

Re: AA on a scary board, vs 2+2er.
I bet for value. Your flop call of his raise allowed him to lead, which allowed you to make it two bets. The fact that he is a good player is a bit scary. If he c/r flop with the draw, and is now planning on c/r again with the flush, oh well.
But as you said, your table image is loose right now. One of the reason rushes are so profitable is people's reluctance to believe. You have a premium hand here. I think it is more likely his actions thus far were attempts to steal pot away from you HU, which OOP vs Aces (i know he doesn't know) is usually bad timing. |

I bet for value particularly because it's heads up.

Bet. A straight or flush would most likely bet the river, since they would be afraid you wouldn't bet and they wouldn't want to miss a bet.
