Broadway on turn, flush on board
$3/$6 online, 10 handed
Folded to me in middle position, I raise with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Folded to the blind, who three-bets, the blinds call (yes, it's that kind of game) and I call. The flop comes Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB bets, BB calls, I call getting 14:1 with my gutshot and backdoor nut flush draw, button calls. The turn comes K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB checks, BB bets, do I raise now or go for overcalls? My read on the blinds is that they're loose, but not overly agressive. The button is solid. |

Re: Broadway on turn, flush on board
I think going for overcalls might be a good decision here. If someone has the flush already you don't get 3 bet and you now have the nutflush draw.

Re: Broadway on turn, flush on board
I like going for overcalls here. I'm a lot more interested in how everyone plays if a total blank comes on the river and BB leads again.

Re: Broadway on turn, flush on board
Against unknown opponents, I would definitely just call. But the two blinds called 2.5 and 2 bets cold before the flop. Does the fact that they're so loose affect your thinking at all?

Re: Broadway on turn, flush on board
I'd raise now. It's unlikely anyone has a flush but it is possible they have a set, twopair, the same str8 you're freerolling on, or a smaller straight. It's unlikely they'll fold any of those hands. Raise it up.

Re: Broadway on turn, flush on board
Raise it up. What I think is important to note is that since button put in 3-bets preflop his hand range is narrow enough that given this board he either really likes his or really hates his hand. Thus, he will either be calling both 1 or 2 bets from you regardless or will be folding for 1 or 2 bets. So basically picking up overcalls is less valuable in this situation as this guy will overcall 2 cold enough of the time.

Re: Broadway on turn, flush on board
I lean towards raising here. I don't see myself getting 3bet by better hands that often either.

What about raising and making that guy with the T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] really pay you?
