Re: \"Hello\" in Japanese
Incognito is 100% correct, I was waiting for someone to say that "Moshi-Moshi" is a phone answering hello type thing and he gets the ribbon! Incognito's answer below! Daytime: ko ni chi wa Evening: kon ban wa On the phone: moshi moshi All 'a's as in father All 'o's as in cone All 'i's as the 'ee' in bee Run all the syllables together PS He must watch A LOT of that Anime stuff boy! : ) |

Re: \"Hello\" in Japanese
Depends on what time of day it is and your rank relative to that of the person to whom you are speaking.

Re: \"Hello\" in Japanese
Moshi Moshi is how you answer the phone
Konnichiwa is "Good Day" Konbanwa is "Good Evening" O hayo gozaimasu is "How are you" (typical morning greeting) Hajime mashite is "pleased to meet you" (only used the first time you meet someone) |
