Default Do I commit the last of my chips here?

A bad beat, followed by a couple of tilted, bone-head plays has me in the CO with 1000 (blinds now 500/1000).

16 players left, 8 on my table.

Everyone calls and it on me. I have 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

My question is, with 7000 in the pot, is this hand the one you take a shot with or do you hope for something better before the blind come to you 6 hands later?

My initial thought was I'm getting 7 to 1, so I called...

What's the payout structure like?
If you are trying to sneak into the money, fold. If you want to win- call. 7-1 is odds to get it in with any 2.

Barring an unusual payout structure/situation (like say a satellite that you're one spot out of the places that get seats, and there's another micro-stack that'll hit the blinds before you do), I'm in here. Those odds are too good to pass up with a hand that has at least a little going for it.
