Default A weird one

Party 20, 8 handed. I raise AQo UTG, LAG (40/25/1.5) calls from the CO, BB calls.

Flop is KKJ rainbow. BB checks, I bet, CO calls, BB folds.

Turn is a 4. I check, CO bets, I call intending to check/call any river or bet any improvement.

Sounds good. Check the turn because we hate getting raised?

Taking it a step further, what's the argument against screwplaying this turn? If you c/r, intending those to be your last 2BBs spent unless you improve, you have some fold equity on top of it, right? Or would you say that the screwplay is too unbelievable and villain would call down with anything? Or is it because you're out of position and thus c/c'ing down is better...

With those stats I would stay away from the screwplay. I don't think you have enough fold equity with him to make it work, and there is a very good chance he is calling you down to the end.

I personally the heros line of calling with the intention of calling/betting any improvement.

I've slowed down like this before against players that I worried could blow me off my hand on this type of board. I'm not sure that it's correct, but I like your plan for the hand. Does the money we make longterm from this play when he is bluffing outweigh the risk of paying off/letting him catch a pair?

I guess we don't need to worry about him catching a pair since we like every card above 9, and it's unlikely he called the flop with unpaired undercards. He probably never folds an underpair either, so we don't need to worry about missing out on him folding those to a turn bet.

So you will b/f an A or Q and b/3 a 10? c/c everything else? I think this is fine.
