KK with strange flop bet...

This was a hand on .25/.50 on Prima from a few nights ago. No big reads on Villan, but he's looking to be pretty LAGish, and fairly aggressive too.

Stack sizes?

I would have led the flop for $4-5. Given your check, I would have raised him another $10. He could easily be on a high PP or betting a whiffed AK/AQ, or worse for you, a low PP and he hit his set. Find out which by betting/raising.

Can't read him for the straight after he called your pfr (at least, assuming reasonable stack sizes; with huge stacks I guess he might call w/ 43s).

Raise. Not much can beat you, aces he would have raised you before the flop, flopping nut straight or two pair he would not have called the preflop raise. The only thing you should fear is the remote chance he flopped a set.

yeah, the first thing I realised when I started looking at this hand myself was that I should've led out on the flop, or at the very least raised him once he did bet. Here's what I did and what happened:

as for the stack sizes, I don't remember exactly, but I think I had about $50 and he had about $60.
