Default Possible answer to the cents / hand & bonus@pp VIP issue

I make no assurances that this IS the answer, but it sounds like it might be.

I sent bonus@pp an email inquiring about the cents / hand offer I'd heard rumored. I didn't get an email reply but i DID just get a phone call from one of their VIP reps.

I had originally gotten a $70 for 2,000 points popup offer...she offered to raise that to a whopping $110 for 2000 points. Big deal, that's a barely a big blind for me, but that's not the point of this post. After kindly thanking her, I asked her about the alleged cents/hand offer I'd heard some people had received. What she replied was the following:

That for some players (and she didn't explain exactly who, but if I understood her properly, she suggested that it was players who hadn't played much at Party, and therefore they didn't have a real basis for determining what their typical party points earning history was) instead of offering them a $$ for points thing via a popup, they INSTEAD offered them a $$ for a RAKED HAND GOAL via email. And all I can assume is that in some cases that came to a nice 5 or 6 cents per hand. All of the above seems to fit the pattern of what we've seen reported about the cents/hand deal.
Whew. OK, my usual jackassery aside, that may the most useful post i've made here. Feel free to disagree.

hi Teddy -

I can confirm that I took the following steps:

- got a popup offer for the bogus $90 for some amount of points (I think around 1800?)
- sent email to bonus@partypoker looking for money
- waiting a week, meanwhile played at party
- worked off popup offer
- got phone call from VIP rep, eventually was offered $500 for 10k raked hands in october and $2500 for 50k raked hands in november.

The rep said that the #hands goal was flexible, and that they would adjust it during the month if I was going to vastly undershoot or overshoot the goal. After seeing other posts from palman this is almost the same gig, except he was not told that the adjustment must be made by party, they seemed to indicate to him that it would automatically adjust to $x/hand. It could be a little grey area so that people will feel compelled to play the hands out? don't know.

the other thread in the forum about VIP club has more info on my experiene.

the rep that talked to me said this will be an ongoing thing, but is very much in flux and they are trying to work out the best system.

what stakes are you playing? I got a crap offer just today. 120 bucks for 12000 raked hands before the end of the month. I am going to play that much anyways, so i said sure. Didn't think about asking for more. I have only been playing 1/2 limit though. And i have never played at party until last monday. The rep said she would call back before the months up to make a deal for november. but i think i will be leaving this account to get more for my money from other avenues.

Ok, here's my brilliant idea for the year (for the mid/hi volume player):

1) Have a friend be your affiliate (get 20-25% rb)
2) Get 6.6 cents a hand or whatever from Party

Voila! You're now getting about 35%'ish of your MGR back... am I missing something, or is this the 35% everybody's been subtlety alluding to?

affiliates cannot sponser friends according to their T&C. Affiliates must keep signing people up to keep their status.

The bonus your "friend" gets is directed dollar for dollar from his MGR, so it's a wash. You won't be collecting double.

Dammit! Lol. Thanks for clarifying that it is in fact a 100% MGR deducted wash...
