Default A Free 4 Star Pro Football Pick

Take the Ravens under 9 games. Pass defense this year will be less crucial than in years past due to the officials being told to actually call pass interference past the initial 5 yard chuck zone. IMHO this will hurt Baltimore more than most other teams until they adjust, which for them will be too far into the season to recover and make the playoffs.

In the same vein playing the 1st week games over will be a moneymaker until the books see the true impact of the new enforced officiating. Actually this trend may carry over into weeks two and three as well but take the maximum advantage in week one of the regular season.

If you are going to do this, jump on the overs early then. Because if what you say above is true, the sharps are going to hammer the opening line. I don't think the books are going to be left as wide open as you may think. This new rule enforcement has been made pretty public; i don't think the linesmakers are going to have missed it. Just my two cents.

Craig I agree the lines will be adjusted, however histroically the few times in the past where a significant change has been made the handicappers have underallowed. See The two point conversion adjustments the first year it was implemented.

do you mean the handicappers or the linesmakers? i don't think "handicappers" would miss this. Especially not this year since this rule enforcement has been talked about so much.
