Windows Media Preview Crash

Ive got this annoying little problem lately where windows explorer will crash everytime I highlight a video file. It lets me open and watch it, but I have to force quit explorer. I've done some googling and other people seem to have similar problems and blame it on the preview window that pops up, but offer no solutions that work for me. Anyone familiar with this one, is there a way to turn the preview off or better yet fix it in general? Thanks guys,

Not sure how to fix it completely, but you can definitely disable the preview window. I'm using Win2k right now, so I can't remember exactly where to find the option, but just open up explorer and sort through the menus and you'll see it.
