So would I be able to upgrade it to 1.25 like Sthief mentioned? It sounds like I can only put two things in. Would I have to keep the first one in, thus only having 750? Or do I take one out, then have 1000? Or is it 2 extra? Sorry if these questions are really stupid.

If you buy the backup 80 WHr battery for $30 more instead of upgrading the main battery, I think you get more bang for your buck(80 WHr batter+53 WHr battery).

blah... the deals were better the last time they ran the $750 off promo. prices will get better then this.... but if you absolutley need to buy these arnt all that bad. if you are looking for the deal of the century... look elsewhere....

Yeah the starting price is higher than usual for the 6000...
But still a great deal. It's tough to find a desktop - much less a laptop - with a Pentium Processor, 512mb, and LCD screen for under $1,000 outside of these coupons.

How often does Dell give these promotions? I've noticed 2 in the past week or so. I'm waiting for the 50% one I've heard of.

Noticed the deals were better last time as well, savings about $200+ on notebooks with everything needed.

I notice this is for "new U.S. purchases". I'm in Canada. Is there any way I could take advantage of this deal? Or is there something similar for Canadian customers?

I was hyped up but now that I have everything ready to go I realized that these prices aren't much better than the eBay prices for the same computers.
