this reminds me of something but i can't figure out what.
from a movie or something, some guy goes somewhere, for something, and he talks to someone, and they're like "take a number" and he is like, "but i'm the only one here" and they make him take a number anyway. then he stands and waits. and then they call his number. the whole time he is the only one waiting in line.

Have any of you been asked to pull up at a drive-thru when no one was behind you? [/ QUOTE ] Inside being closed is, at best, irrelevant What if the food is going to be ready in 3 minutes and someone pulls up a minute later? It's simply easier for everyone involved to ask customers to pull up if their food is going to take longer than normal. In my experience I have never been negatively impacted by being asked pull up, so why worry about it?

[/ QUOTE ] Why did you leave that out of the original post? Kind of an important detail, don't you think? Every fast food joint I've been to where I've had to pull up has had a spot that was out of the way of regular drive-thru traffic.
