As played preflop (i got a sick feeling he might be huge and did'nt want to push) how is this, i feel like i preety much found the most effective way to find out if i'm good here without getting felted, the fold was tough but i was preety sure i could'nt be winning here, my opponent seemed decent.

Make up your mind preflop. No need to waste all those chips.

You left yourself with 5 BB's. If you had a bigger stack, that's okay, but you can't waste over 50% of your stack to find out where you at.

Okay, you think he might have aces so you just call - nothing really wrong with that (of course if he's a typical bubble donkey you should have turbopushed). Then you...lead half your stack (after telling the table you really want to make the money) and fold to a push.

When you get the sick taste out of your mouth after reading this, check and see what if anything he bets into 2 people.

Because:
1. You have 11 big blinds. Because
2. You lost more than half your stack finding out if you were beat
3. You're still not sure you were beat (AK, TT?) and you were getting 4-1.
4. You now have 5bb left, not a nice place to be.
5. You let the limper see a cheap flop those times you actually did have the best hand.
6. You're in a very awkward spot if an overcard falls. Is bet 8k, fold to a push your plan on most flops?
7. You may have lost a chance to pick up 9k preflop by pushing.

That said, maybe calling preflop is fine if you think his range is particularly tight, but I don't think you want to be folding post-flop. Frankly, I think your line sucks. You probably let him get away from worse hands, and occasionally get bluffed off of the best hand. Check, let him commit himself when he has a worse hand (and yourself when he has a better one...oh well), and push. Or just push preflop...

Steve

You're playing scared because you really want to just make the money. You have a premium starting hand and 11 bb stack and you're looking at a limp from the co and a button raise. This is a clear preflop push everytime because you've got folding equity, a hand that is clearly ahead of their range, you're out of position, and you want to narrow the number of people seeing the flop.

Folding on that flop is absolutely rediculous too. You have the best hand here way more than enough to justify calling given the pot odds that you're being given and the fact that you're going to have about 5bb when you fold.
