[ QUOTE ]
Difficult situation, and maybe the smooth call should have set off alarm bells.

My thought process at the time was, if I check he is going to bet for sure and it's not going to be a small bet, so I am going to either fold or end up getting all my money in. So I thought like this:

The flop is 7-9-T

1) he cannot possibly have J-8, 7-9 or 7-T
2) maybe he has 9T
3) he could easily have JQ, QK, 88 or even AK given his style

I screwed up check-raising so little,

Thoughts?

At what point did you check raise????????

I check-raised on the flop. I checked, he bet 650, I bet 1300. He called.

Right, but I am out of position and if I check and he bets $2k, he might have AT or (given his play Q8 or God knows what else. So how would you play it?
