Default am i figuring my rakeback right?

my payment for a month was only about half of what i figured it should be, just want to make sure i'm calculating it right.

total rake: $3269.22
average players per hand: 5.58
rakeback: 27.5%

so i should be getting:

$3269.22 * 0.275 / 5.58

= $161.12

yes? or am i missing something here? I got some bonus money for the month, but since this is at Absolute i don't think that takes away from my MGR.

Did AP ever fix their standard calculation for all players? If they have corrected this your # is correct if it came from the summary section of PT. Did you check to make sure the dates you chose are the dates AP used for your range?

i dont know what a "standard calculation" is, but my data is from the right site and date range. I got this email from AP in response tonight, but don't know what to make of it:

Here is the how we would calculate your Rake Rebate:

Total Hands: 7974

Total Raked Hands: 5581

Real Rake Contribution: .06

5581 x .06 x .275 = 92.16

[/ QUOTE ]

$92.16 is what i got paid for the month. I have no clue what "real rake contribution" is though. I do know 92.16 isn't 27.5% of the rake from only the pots i won. Not sure how this is working.

It should be figured just like Party, except that bonuses are not deducted.

In Poker Tracker, go to "preferences" and choose the limit (you can only choose one or it won't be correct), Absolute, and this month only. Then, go to "Game Notes" and select "get all".

You will then see "rake" at the bottom. Divide this by "aph" and that is your MGR. You will then multiply your mgr by 27.5%. I hope this helps.

MGR and therefeore Rakeback is not calculated based on the rake taken from pots that you have won... see craig's post for a better approximation.

There is also some sql code floating around that will do exact calculations for you.
