Re: Bay Area 2+2 invite game?
So would anyone mind playing with a 17 year old? I am trying to get a game going in my area but I can't get anything thrown together mainly because of my age. I know all the fundamentals of the hold em and have some nice chips to throw in for the game! I don't mind driving a fair distance away(ie San Jose). Just let me know if you guys feel comfortable playing with a high school student. I just need to get some live experience under my belt until I turn 18 and start hitting up indian casinos.

Re: Bay Area 2+2 invite game?
Ok, when I first posted this message, interest seemed to be low. Now I guess there is some interest and a plan of action is warranted. I'm happy with coordinating an event, but I do not have a proper place to host a poker party. It should be in a house secluded from neighbors as I've had poker parties before in an apartment, and they don't go over so well. So what I need from people are (Private message me):
1. Best night?: Friday or Saturday 2. Can you you host?: Yes or No 3. Age limit?: 18+ or 21+? 18+ would probably mean no alcohol 4. Stakes?: 1/2 Toothpick or 2/4 Toothpick? 5. Game?: Dealer's choice, Limit Hold Em, No Limit Hold em 6. What city do you live in? If there are enough people, it might just work. If I can compile a fair number of people, I'll ask for contact info. Garland |

Re: Bay Area 2+2 invite game?
Garland,
Good idea. We did this last spring and it was a great idea. I'd be willing to host, I have a house in the Oakland hills where noise won't be an issue, and it's pretty much equidistant for everyone. The 2+2ers I can think of that might play include (that haven't been mentioned): Avarice, Haakee, bad beetz, Jen, TJSWAN, and a few others I can't think of. It should be a good time, and a great learning experience. Dan |

If you can get this done before tax time it will be a major achievement . Haakee, bad beetz [/ QUOTE ] Geez. This is getting better and better. If these two guys are playing I will play 100-200 blindfolded. Against bad beetz, I'll play w/ just one card. |
