It's better to bet the flop than the turn. I normally check/fold with this type of garbage hand.

You've already told villian you don't have the A by not betting the flop, also I would make a PSB if I was going to bet the turn. JMO

River call is questionable... you aren't beating much.

I bet that flop sometimes too, but never the turn. Why do you like betting the turn ajmargarine, OP?

I check flop bet turn. People play any ace and betting into an ace flop without an ace and 3 people to act behind you is questionable IMO.
Once turn comes around you have no reason to think your pair of 10's are not good when that 6 hits, it is time to take a stab at the pot. I will almost never bet flop here and will bet turn most of the time. I would rather wait until the turn where you are pretty sure a pair of 10's are good rather than the flop where you have no idea.

To answer your question, no betting in these situations is not bad. If you get called you have to stop because some people will have slow played something or have something like A-2 suited which they did not want to bet on the flop out of position with that crap kicker.

I see. So your line is to check the flop planning to check fold, then bet the turn planning to win it right there those times that you have the best hand. If you are called on the turn you assume that you don't have the best hand, but at least there is the possibility of a free showdown where you do have a little something to turn over?

Seems like a reasonable line to me. I also agree with you that the ace on board makes taking a stab at the flop less attractive.
