bet the turn and then bet the river! Don't let a Q or J get a free card... bet because you want to add value to your ten by pushing them off cards that might draw to a hand that beats you on the river. They could easily be on the flush draw, and because he plays so many hands you have to value bet your medium strength hands.

With middle pair + overcard kicker? I'd bet the turn and bet the river too.

If Hero's river action is anything other than "Bet," then the monkey gets it between the eyes.

Yeah, monkey has been playing weak-tight recently, overcompensating for earlier overaggro days. Monkey checked the river.

Clearly I'm a total toolbox for suggesting Hero take a free card on the turn and catch a spade. But isn't it conceivable that BB, a new player whom we have to assume is a typical Party loser, would probably be betting out into the field with a K, albeit a weak king? Hero's raise forced this fish into check-call mode. Hero is now betting BB's king for him. Sure, there's a good chance MPTK is the best hand out there, in which case Hero should bet the turn for value. But *if* he's drawing to a flush or one of his 5 outs, why not take a free river card -- if it's favorable, someone else might bet into him and he can get 2BB in on the river.

if the hero bets the river, is he folding to a raise from the bb and calling one from the loose CO?
