Default bullshit, boring, asked to post

30/60 party.

A player who i have 1000 hands logged on, who plays 7% of hands and raises 5% of hands and multitables 4 30/60 tables doing this.

I open raise KK from LMP. He 3 bets. I cap.

Flop:

9xx.

I bet. he raises, i 3 bet.

Turn:

T.

I bet. He raises, the play is to fold, whoever says it's to call is wrong, that is all.

Do you know anything about him other than his vpip and pfr? Maybe he is stupidly aggressive w/ overpairs or AK.

Could the play be to not get into this spot and slow down to the flop raise? I feel like anyone whose hand becomes so defined as AA after the turn raise probably has a very very narrow range of hands after he raises the flop.

yeah that line doesn't make much sense with QQ. it's slightly possible he turned a set and very probable that his turn raise was a set plan with AA

Is it possible to be a winning player playing 7% / 5% ?

this hand is a perfect example of why it's probably not. if your playing style lets KK get off the hook on the turn when you have AA on a ten-high, then you're going to get walked all over

very few people are going to make this fold. even those who are aware of his tightness could convince themselves he has the other kings.

Not a chance in the Party 30. You'll slowly go broke via stolen blinds.

I have this dude at 9/7 FWIW.

Folding here would be a mistake IMHO. From playing with him a bunch tonight, I don't think that he's especially rocklike postflop and I don't know that the way he's played this hand has to mean exactly AA or TT.

Wow - 9/7? That is super tight. Do your records show him as profitable?

"A player ... who plays 7% of hands"

Wow. That's the most impressive poker stat of any kind I have ever seen.

Now I'm curious. To hit a number that low, does it means he is folding all non-pair hands, including AK, and playing nothing but 77 (or so) and up? And if he is playing AK, does that mean he is folding J-J (or so) and down?

Whatever he's doing, that number stirs me, like looking at something that is hideous and marvelous at the same time. I have no curiousity about his win/loss rate while playing that way. I'm just happy to know that someone has the ability to carry out the experiment.

Tommy
