5-10 NL, live game

Tex is CO stack is about $1700

Villain is MP stack is about $1500 (no read)

UTG has us covered (been running the game over)

UTG opens for $20, folds to villain, who makes it $70

Tex calls in the CO with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Folds around to UTG, who calls.


Flop
Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

UTG donks for $40

MP raises to $100

Tex calls

UTG calls


($525 in the pot less the rake)

Turn A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG checks, MP bets $450

Tex pushes.

trying to induce tough laydowns is bad usually unless you know them well enough.

listen to duck..I think finding a fold is not out of question on the turn given how strong MP played it. I think better lines are fold -> call -> raise in that order, because it looks like your semibluff has very little folding equity while having 12 outs with 1 card to come..

UTG(big stack) is still in the hand, what hand range do you put UTG on, given the way the flop played it seems like KJ and smaller diamonds are very possible hodings. So you are possibly pushing into the nuts or are pushing out a lower draw that pays you off if you hit on river. I think that pushing here is the worst option unless you have reads on both players. If you think that UTG will call push with smaller draw, since the pot is now huge, then it makes more sense since it will put more pressure on villian and will help when you are behind a big hand. I think you really need to think more about UTG in this spot not just villian.
