Stupid question, but I will answer anyhow [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. I think he is currently the best athlete in the world. I can't see any other sports that demand more than winning Tour de France. During the three weeks you more or less spend your body, it is nothing like it was when you started.
P.S. Hoped you watched the stage today, seeing how everyone cheered him (they cheer the 150th place finisher too though [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]) as a real hero. Not many of the cheerers were Americans. Millions turns out to do this, I have never seen millions of non-Americans show up to cheer Tiger Woods or Pete Sampras.

I love Lance Armstrong but get real. The guy rides a bike. Jim Brown is arguably the best that's ever lived at two sports. Babe Ruth is the best hitter that's ever lived and probably would have been an all-time great as a pitcher. Plus, you'd have to consider the top decathletes and even the two-sport guys like Deion Sanders, Brian Jordan, and Bo Jackson. That said, he might be the greatest cardiovascular freak of an athlete that's ever lived and he's possibly the best conditioned athlete in recent memory.
