Re: Paul Phillips post on his website about 2+2
[ QUOTE ]
Because his posts are generally very funny, and also often very educational to boot. If your posts were ever either of those, people would have more respect for you, too. Do you see why? [/ QUOTE ] You really need to go back and reread his posts - "ocaisionally" fits much better than "generally" and "often" |

Re: My post here deleted but this stays
1- Vince, if the post hadn't ended with "and I like you" I would have deleted it and thought about doing it anyway. I opted against it because I knew which direction it would send the thread. I'm not trying to jump in and shut things down right and left on my first day, but I am trying to keep a positive tone, and I felt that his post had that.
2- Beavis, the post I deleted had nothing to do with the thread. Did you read it? 3- Daliman- read the text of Paul's original reply, it's trollish by my standards. Frankly- I think it's trollish enough as to defy explanation. |

Re: My post here deleted but this stays
I think it would be kind of neat if you edited everyone of Vince's and Smoothcall's posts. Just replace whatever they write with something like: "Hi guys. This is Dids."

Re: Paul Phillips post on his website about 2+2
Paul if u read this, that sucks to hear. A lot of over-touchy net geeks in here that unfortunatly have a way of ruining things sometimes. It depends what subforum of 2+2 you were talking about, if its this one (WorldPokertour) you are not missing much.
I dont know the exact details, but I have a hard time seeing something being extreme enough for someone to be okay having u banned. As far as ppl being over sensitive about the nazi comment, thats like making fun of someones grammar because u cant retort the logic of their post, so instead u try to spin something with a nitpick. |

So I bet you have a reason for leaving the following up. Must be on topic.

Re: Is Phillips serious about his Nazi\'s being funny?
[ QUOTE ]
just about every Mel Brooks movie, [/ QUOTE ] Mel Brooks made Springtime for Hitler. I seriously doubt that his intention was to poke fun at nazism or those that practice it. I believe he was ridiculing the nazis. At least that is my take on the movie. I have no idea how Charlie Chaplin felt about Nazi's. Nor do I get the Blues Brothers reference. If you feel, like Phillips, that Nazi references are funny why don't you just say so. I don't Vince |

Re: Is Phillips serious about his Nazi\'s being funny?
What is it that you don't understand about a satire? Do you think Chaplin was saying that what Nazi's were doing was funny?
