In a typical to loose game which is what most games are, I will raise it UTG every time. In a tighter game I will fold it sometimes, limp it sometimes, and raise it sometimes.

For some reason, I like to take the opposite approach, and I like to raise these marginal UTG hands (AJo and ATo, for example) in tighter games as well. The reasoning is that those who cold call my raise are usually the looser/fishier players at the table, and I'm likely to have the best hand against them, and would like to play as many hands against them as possible. If I get 3bet by a tighter player, then I don't fall in love with my hand and will drop it pretty easily. I think that the money I make playing these hands against loose opponents outweighs the times a tighter player will dominate me. Also, adding a hand or two here shouldn't throw off the tight players read that I am also a TAG. But maybe I'm wrong. Anybody else give their thoughts?

i want players with AQo, KQ, KJ, JQ and medium pockets to fold when i have AJo so I am definately raising UTG. I also fold it to a raise in front of me almost always.

I agree that it's a raise but I disagree that you want KJ or QJ to fold here.
